About this episode
⚡ Welcome to **Josh The Sparky**!
⚡ **SPARKY’S JOURNAL — WHAT’S IN MY EVERYDAY TOOL BAG?**
What tools do I actually carry with me on the job?
In this episode of **Sparky’s Journal**, I’m going through my everyday-carry tool bag and showing you the tools I pick from depending on what I’m doing that day.
From my Klein lineman’s, screwdrivers, strippers, pliers and tape measure to pry bars, levels, bits, blades, safety glasses and all the random stuff that somehow ends up in an electrician’s bag — this is what I’m currently carrying.
I also talk about why I don’t bring my entire tool collection onto every job, marking your tools with your name, the importance of choosing the right tools for the job, and the unfortunate story of my Milwaukee tape measure disappearing from a ceiling grid. 😂
🧰 **TOOLS / GEAR COVERED**
• Lineman’s
• Wire strippers
• Screwdrivers & specialty drivers
• Dikes / cutters
• Needle-nose pliers
• Tin snips
• Pry bar / scraper
• Hammer & mallet
• Carpenter’s square
• Level
• Chalk line
• Drill bits
• Sawzall blades
• Safety glasses
• Pick tools
• Wire brush
• Tool belt & tool bags
This isn’t a “you need all of this” list — it’s simply **what I carry and what works for me.** Every electrician develops their own system based on the work they’re doing.
💬 **What’s the ONE tool you refuse to leave the shop without?**
Drop it in the comments — I want to see what other electricians and apprentices are carrying.
